| Hard to believe that it's been 2 years since I was in school. That equals 2 I.S. Mondays, folks. I'm old. Speaking of, 5 days until the birthday!! Back to a nice even number again...
Been keeping busy with work and other things in my life. I just hope things go the way I want them to. But doesn't everyone wish that? We just have to let God handle things and He'll take care of us. I can't wait to get back outside and see the wonders of Nature, like hiking in the park on the trails and walking around the neighborhood. Not to mention softball and just enjoy being outside!
This past weekend I went to a wedding for a family friend. Was a very nice ceremony, but the reception got boring real quick. First of all, I cannot stand those silly traditions of throwing the bouquet and garter. Tell me, what is the purpose of that?? Never fails, people drag me out to the dance floor and make a big deal, all for what? For the bride to actually throw it at the ceiling and some little girl gets it. Never fails. Secondly, some weirdo came up to me to ask me to dance (Mind you, I had only danced two dances and those are the ones that actually tell you what to do). Did I mention this guy looked like he was 40? Ew. Finally, I cannot dance (see above comment). Therefore, it's very hard to do so, especially when no one asks you to dance. Overall, it was nice. They're just getting boring for me. Being in them is almost more fun...
Next weekend I get to take a friend to a hockey game, which may be the last or next to last game I get to go to this season. But at least I got to see a few. Maybe even more next season... But, baseball starts this weekend!! What a nice birthday present!!
Anywho, I'm feeling "blah" so I gotsta get some rest. Have a good one!

| Song from "currently listening" album: "Remember Me" by Journey
Such a great song! If you really listen to the lyrics, they're really powerful. Kind of what I'm feeling right now...most of my friends have gone off doing whatever they're doing - finishing up school (undergrad or even grad), married life, starting new careers, etc. Sometimes I feel like saying, "Hey, 'remember me' in your journey of life." But if not, no worries. I'll always be there for my friends, no matter what they do and where they are. I try my best to keep in touch with people, but most drift away and forget certain people from the past. I'm not one to dwell on that sort of thing, but that can hurt when you know you've been forgotten. Yes, it hurts, but I move on with my life. I miss all of my friends, don't get me wrong. I just tend to say "whatever" to those who forget about others along the way and then move on with my life. To new and better things. I still have those close to me who have stayed close to me over the years.
I'm really looking forward to my future, no matter what I do. Visiting good friends who have strayed from the Midwest (who blames them, really?), being with family, enjoying life, etc.
Definitely looking forward to warmer weather! Supposed to be pretty nice this weekend, so I hope I get at least one walk in before Winter re-appears. It's funny (not as much "ha ha" funny, though) because I really can't tan. I still like being in the sun, though.
That's enough for now. I'm gonna head to bed, soon, since I'm such an old-timer. Have a good one!
